Kim and Alina threw a joint birthday party for their 2-year-old, best buddy daughters, Dylan and Sophie, last Sunday. A few days before the big bash, they found themselves in desperate need of a photographer for the event. To say that it’s rare for me to be able to take on a last minute session is an understatement. My shoot schedule normally books months in advance and, now, I have an 8 month old who dominates the rest of my time. But I really felt for Kim and Alina, wanting to capture this special moment for their families, and I am SO GLAD the stars aligned and I was able to rejigger my schedule to shoot the party for them. Dylan and Sophie are two very sweet, adorable little girls. It’s safe to say they had a great time dancing and playing with their friends and families at the beautiful new SOD Room. While Dylan’s best buddy, “Donnie the Duck,” was her ever-constant partner, that didn’t stop her from “toasting” her fellow birthday girl, Sophie, with a cupcake. Kim and Alina…I’m so glad we found each other! Thanks for having me be a part of the fun.
