Me (at “Breakfast with Santa” last weekend): “Eloise! You really shouldn’t be naughty when Santa is RIGHT HERE!” Eloise: “Mom…it’s OK. I’m already on his Nice List. And he uses pen.” Mike and I are having a complete blast with these two girls this holiday season. We wish you a joyful holiday, and a safe […]

“Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.” -William Arthur Ward As the craziness of this time of year swirls around me, I am grateful for the deep breath that Thanksgiving offers. It’s a reminder to put down my never-ending to-do list, crazy work schedule, […]
NAILED IT! So, every year, I set out with my tripod, remote, and an ambitious vision to take my own family’s holiday card photos. And, every year, it’s hands down my most challenging session. I am in tears from laughing so much! LOVE that you shared this online!

Because of the panic and sadness and awful feeling of helplessness that floods back. The day we lost you, darling Hannah Felicity. Three years ago today. You are […]

So glad you take time to stop and take notice of all your blessings in life along the way! That’s so important. You never know what life is going to deal you. Also your children grow so fast and they’ll never be as young as they are now ever again. I kept telling my daughters that I wanted to dip them in paraffin so they wouldn’t grow as fast. What’s wonderful too, is when they marry and have children of their own, you get to enjoy your grandchildren often at a slower pace which is SUCH a blessing!!!
Jenny,
You write so beautifully and hit the nail on the head. Dad and I are so very thankful for you and your incredible family.
