Dear friends revisited

There are certain moments in life that may not seem like a big deal while they’re happening but turn out to be linchpins in hindsight. Several years ago while at dinner together, I test drove the idea of starting my own photography business by our dear friends, Jeff and Susan. These two know me pretty well…we went to college together, poured our blood, sweat and tears into the newspaper together, comforted each other during family heartache, celebrated weddings and babies together. Jeff and Susan were not only extremely excited about the possibility of JSP that night, but so supportive that they kick-started my portfolio by letting me take their maternity photos. And Drew’s newborn photos. And by passing my name around to all of their local friends and family. Today, a substantial portion of my client base can be traced back to them, and for that I am eternally grateful. They have since moved back home to Ohio and it’s no secret how much Mike and I miss having them right down the street. Last week, they were back in Chicagoland for a few days and we took advantage of a picture perfect day to snap some updated family photos. I had never met baby Caroline before…what a charmer! The perfect addition to an already beautiful family. And Drew! It feels like he was a newborn peanut just a second ago. I blinked and now he’s four. Wow. Jeff and Susan…what a great time! I am so happy I could capture this special time in your life for you. Already can’t wait to see you four again soon.
