This has definitely been a special holiday season for us. Ellie is starting to get wrapped up in it all…as you can clearly see below! (Thanks for her fun jammies, Santa hat and stuffie, Auntie Charlotte! Ellie loves all of it, especially the hat, which she wears non-stop.) Seeing Christmas through Ellie’s eyes is such a thrill. She shouts, “Ho ho ho!” every time she sees a Santa and is constantly humming “Jingle Bells” and “Dominic the Donkey.” (If you haven’t heard of that last tune, I don’t blame you. We discovered it on the radio a few years ago and got such a big kick out of it that now my mom sings it to Ellie all of the time!) Ellie can’t wait to rip into packages the minute they come and exclaims “Oh, WOW!” at every new toy she sees in store windows. Ellie gets such a thrill looking at all of the beautiful holiday cards we receive every day…and so do I. It’s one of my favorite holiday traditions, sending and receiving cards, and I look forward to checking the mail and seeing all of your smiling faces every afternoon.
In the midst of all the holiday festivities, I wanted to take a minute and wish all of you a wonderful, safe, happy, healthy holiday. As 2013 comes to an end, I couldn’t feel more blessed to have all of you in my life.
