Thaylan and Berlynn bid adieu

I am so sad to be losing this awesome family to the state of Michigan! But I know they will have amazing opportunities and adventure there and I’m so happy for all that is yet to come for them. It was great to catch up with Thaylan and Berlynn before their big move. Berlynn was just a tiny peanut newborn when I saw her last, and now she’s a newly-minted one-year-old with loads of adorable personality! What a difference a year makes. And Thaylan, as usual, did a fantastic job modeling for me. Caressa and Keith, I wish you all the best. Definitely let me know if you’re ever back in Chicago! It would be great to finally get that beach shoot in…when it’s not 40 degrees outside!

Holden

I’ve been looking forward to this session for 9 months! Meet Holden, the newest addition to one of my all-time favorite families. He’s just so precious, I can’t stand it. His big sisters, Linden and Hadley, are wonderful with him…I had a good feeling they would be…and all three kids did a terrific job modeling for me last week. Lynsey and Peter…congratulations again! Thank you for having me capture another one of your momentous life events. I feel honored to have known you all for so long and it’s a continuous joy watching your sweet kids grow up. Until next time!

Ian and Brody

Ah…it totally snuck up on me this year. The amazing, crazy, wonderful, frantic holiday card season! I can’t believe it’s the end of October and I’m just now fully realizing that the holiday card photos have begun. Maybe it’s because of the warm weather this fall or maybe it has been the fact that the trees haven’t quite changed yet. In any case, this was one of the first sessions that it really struck me…it’s time! The weather was crisp, Techny Prairie Park out in Northbrook sported its fair share of foliage and these boys looked so adorable in their sweaters and cute winter outerwear! Ian and Brody did a fantastic job for me…they always do! I’m having trouble wrapping my head around how big these two brothers have gotten since last year’s session. It was great to see you four again, Katie and Adam! Thanks for a really fun morning.

Happy 4th Birthday, Ori!

I say it after every single party, but this time, it’s for real: Judith, you’ve totally outdone yourself! Ori’s fourth birthday party was such an amazing event and, as always, your attention to detail is just unmatched. I am not sure how you did it, with 50 kids, 12 babies, My Gym activities and an airbrush tattoo artist, but you turned the Menomonee Club’s Drucker Center into a Jake and The Neverland Pirates wonderland. The party was a huge hit and everyone, young and old, seemed to have a blast. I know I did! Happy fourth birthday, Mr. Ori! I can’t even believe that you’re four already. You are just a joy to be around. Time is just flying by, and I feel very blessed to have captured another major life memory for your family.
