Sean Andrés turns two

Well…it was inevitable. Sean Andrés turned two and learned the word “no.” He decided he doesn’t like kissy, cuddly photos with his mom and dad any more…and he wasn’t too keen on taking photos with me, in general. But all that said…he’s just the cutest and one of my all-time faves and he totally came around, showing off his jumping and running skills and his favorite toy cars. As always, it was such a pleasure catching up, Marlén and Sean! You’re doing a fantastic job with Andrés…he’s one of the best 2-year-olds I know!

Mia

I had such a great time meeting beautiful Mia and her parents, Tanja and Zlatko, last week out at the Museum Campus. It was a warmer morning than any of us expected, but the sky was blue and the trees were starting to change…the perfect backdrop for this adorable family. It was so nice meeting you, Tanja and Zlatko! Mia did an amazing job with her photos and I’m glad I could capture her newly acquired sitting skills!

Evan and Avery: All good things smashed into 20 minutes

It’s funny. Before this session, Diana and I were stressing about whether it was going to rain and whether the leaves would be colorful enough to capture some fall backdrops. We had this date scheduled for family photos months and months prior. (Diana and Eddie are some of my oldest clients, so they know the drill about getting fall dates booked as early as humanly possible!) What we didn’t see coming were all of the other mishaps that would unfortunately plague this poor family and cause them to be about 45 minutes late. And, of course, it was just one of those days when I had back-to-back appointments and couldn’t stay more than about 5 minutes over the allotted time. Never fear, folks. Evan and Avery came to the rescue. (Well, God did, too, because it didn’t rain and the light was beautiful!) The boys were rockstars and met me smiling and ready and willing to give me their best top model poses. You’d be amazed at what I can get done in 20 minutes when I have awesome little models like Evan and Avery to work with. It was great seeing you again, Diana and Eddie…even for just a little while! I hope the rest of your day was a little less frantic and that next time we have more of a chance to catch up! Regardless, I must say, these are some of my favorite photos I’ve taken for you guys…no lie!

Maura, Fiona and Brenna take Millennium Park

Love these three sisters! I had the pleasure of meeting Maura and Fiona a little over a year ago and last weekend I was thrilled to meet their new little sis, Brenna. She’s the perfect addition to this beautiful family. We had the perfect overcast morning in Millennium Park to explore and play around, and the girls did a fantastic job giving hugs and smiles and enjoying themselves. It was so great to see you again, Eileen and Steve! Congratulations again on welcoming darling Brenna and thanks again for a wonderful time!

Beautiful Baby Elena

Ah, how I love a good newborn session. And Elena’s photo shoot last week was definitely a good one. She was a top model for me…such a beautiful newborn. It was so nice meeting you, Rebecca! I’m so sorry that life got in the way of your husband joining us this time…but we will make sure to capture some cuddly daddy and Elena photos next time we meet. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the special mommy and Elena photos…you two are so sweet together.
