Oliver and his soon-to-be sibling

One of my favorite families is about to get a little bigger! Oliver is going to become a big brother later this year, and I was thrilled to have the chance to catch up with him and his excited parents last week in Olive Park. It was an overcast day that was threatening rain…but we snuck the session in, enjoying the beautiful light, if not the muggy, humid weather. I can’t wait for the good news of baby #2’s arrival, Cori and Ben. Good luck! Thinking of you.

Reed

What a little love! Baby Reed did such a great job with his photo session last week. He was a good sport, “playing ball” outside with daddy, snuggling with mommy…he even tolerated us sticking him in a basket at the end of the shoot. What a good baby! It was so nice to meet you, Amber and John! Thanks for a fun time.

What a beautiful job you did on my newest grandchild….

Ishaan, Arjun and Anaya in Wicker Park

I really think it’s impossible to look at the following photos and not smile. Ishaan and Arjun have two of the greatest smiles of all times, and their new little sister, Anaya, has clearly picked up the same trait. This family always has so much fun together and their joy shines through loud and clear in every set of photos I take for them. I was thrilled to meet their new addition (she’s just gorgeous, Shubhra and Prabhu!) and to have the chance to play around with the boys again. It was great catching up, Shubhra and Prabhu!

Pumpkin Patch Extravaganza!

It had pumpkins and gords and fall decorations everywhere you looked. Hayrides and pony rides…and camel rides, too.  A children’s playground and a corn maze, a tennis-ball shooting range, a giant slide, a pumpkin bouncy and a train to ride. Homemade donuts and apple cider, pie, corn on the cob, cheese curds…yum, yum, yum. And a petting zoo that included not only the cutest baby cows, chickens, goats and bunnies you ever did see (they had piglet races!)…but also a giraffe and kangaroos and a baby zebra (you are totally reading this correctly) that you can actually feed and pet. Suffice it to say that Goebbert’s Family Pumpkin Farm blew our minds yesterday. I can’t say enough good things about this amazing place. It brought my favorite season to life and was such a joy to experience. Little Eloise had a blast…so did her Vu, who unexpectedly crossed an item off his bucket list, getting to pet that beautiful giraffe! (Who knew?! Really…the exotic animals at the petting zoo were incredible and so completely random!) We will definitely be making Goebbert’s a part of our Fall family tradition. I already can’t wait to go back next year!

Love those pigtails!

Eleanor, Lila and Scout in Taylor Park

It’s hard to believe that about 7 months has already gone by since the last time I saw this family.  Lila was just a newborn peanut and look at her now! Such a big girl, sitting up on her own, all smiles. Big sis Eleanor did a fantastic job, as always, and showed off some of her mad playground skills. And Scouty…what’s there to say about that top model? One of the best dogs I’ve ever met. It’s always a pleasure seeing you five, Sarah and Eric! These are some of my favorite family photos of you all yet.
