Some sessions just click. The baby is happy and smiley, the family is dynamic and cuddly, the weather is beautiful…even the dog cooperates and poses like a top model. That’s exactly what happened when I met Marjorie, Josh, baby Jack and their incredibly well-behaved pup at A. Montgomery Park last Friday afternoon. I’ve never met a happier baby than Jack. Oh my goodness, what a sweetheart. I had an absolute blast with you guys! Thanks for taking some time out with me to walk through the park, Marj and Josh. It was a pleasure meeting you.

My little buddy, Nicholas, just turned two and I was happy to have the chance to celebrate with him on a beautiful morning in Lincoln Park last week. The light was just stunning. This little one was happiest while on the move, so we had some fun running around near the Nature Walk Bridge, playing peek-a-boo in the “turtle shell” and racing through the Conservatory gardens. It was great seeing you again, Erin and Dan! What a fun morning.

Arrigo Park was the perfect backdrop for this adorable family last week. We had such a lovely day, and little Jacob, the star of the show, sure rose to the occasion. He rocked some amazing outfit changes, interacted with all of the great props his mom thoughtfully brought and was his sweet self. I can’t believe he’s already 6 months old, Katie and Brian! Wow! Time is just flying by. It was so nice to see you three again. Already can’t wait for his 9 month session to see what Jacob is up to then!

Sweet little Alex was just about a week old when I got to take her newborn photos. She struggled to stay awake for most of the session, not wanting to miss any of the action. Big sister Greta also did a fantastic job, snuggling her new partner in crime and smiling with her family. Congratulations again on your beautiful new addition, Carrie and Eliot! It was such a pleasure meeting you and getting to know your girls.

I first started taking photos for Ali and Jason several years ago when they were expecting Evyn. Over the years, I have watched their baby grow up into the charming, darling, bubbly, spirited little girl that I had the pleasure of hanging out with last Monday in Lincoln Park. It was such a treat to document another special moment in this family’s life as they anticipate the arrival of another baby girl. I can’t wait to meet her, Ali and Jason, and to see Evyn in action as a big sis. She’s going to be fantastic, I have no doubt. It was great seeing you all again! Thanks for a wonderful time.
