Meet Lincoln

What a beautiful little newborn! Lincoln was wide awake and alert for his close-ups last week. He gave me his best top model poses with mom and dad and totally stole my heart. Thanks for having me capture this special time in your lives, Shelley and Brian!

Welcome to the world, baby Victoria!

Just a few weeks after we captured some baby bump photos for this sweet family, I had the pleasure of meeting their new darling. Welcome, Victoria! She’s just the sweetest. Vika, as her family calls her, tried so hard to stay awake for the entire hour we were together. She didn’t want to miss a thing! A true top model. And Alexander showed what an amazing big brother he was already by giving his new little sis some adorable hugs and kisses. We even got to snap a few photos with Grandma, who is in town visiting her new grandbaby. Congratulations again on your beautiful new addition, Katya and Eric! It was an honor to capture more special family memories for you.

The Purple Butterfly Party

I receive immeasurable joy throughout the year photographing my client’s family moments. Everything from little wrinkly newborns just home from the hospital to first smiles, first steps, every day cuddles and laughter with beloved family members and special once-in-a-lifetime gatherings. Mike and I were thrilled to celebrate a major milestone for our own family last weekend when our daughter, Eloise, turned one. Since Ellie’s first favorite toy was a sparkly purple butterfly, we went all out with the pink and purple decorations. (We will just ignore the fact that Eloise has since abandoned said sparkly purple butterfly and now seems to prefer orange and yellow as her favorite colors.) I may or may not have been channeling the pink and purple My Little Pony birthday party that my mom and dad threw me when I was little when I first dreamed up this theme months and months ago. I don’t think our home has ever looked happier than it did last Saturday morning. Filled with pink and purple balloons, family and friends, butterfly cookies and, of course, our little darling, crawling around in a huge purple tutu…it just doesn’t get any better than that. Our hearts were filled to the brim and we can’t thank everyone enough, both at the party and those who sent love from far away, for celebrating sweet Eloise with us. Many, many thanks, too, to our friend Brad who surprised us by bringing his camera to the party and captured so many sweet moments that we were too busy (playing, laughing, stuffing our faces with cupcakes) to snap ourselves. Some of the below images are Brad’s, some were taken by me and Mike, and we are excited to share them all, a little slice of our life, with you.

I love this post so much! In the second-to-last picture she looks like she is singing! What a perfect first birthday party! 🙂

It looks beautiful! Eloise is one lucky little lady to be surrounded by so much love! 🙂

Hadley: 3 months old

“Too much pink?” Hollye had said with a laugh after a wardrobe change. Never! These three make the cutest family ever and I am finding it hard to believe that it has already been three months since I first met Hadley as a peanut newborn. Time sure flies. Hadley was all smiles and did a great job with this set of photos. What a doll. It was so nice to see you three again! Thanks for having me over, Hollye and Mike.

Andrew and Zach at Olive Park

It was great catching up with Andrew and Zach again at Olive Park and Ohio Street Beach last week. These two have gotten so big since I first met them last summer! We had a great time searching out the best skyline views and then splashing around in the lake together. Thanks for setting this all up, Jen! So nice to see you again.
