Ok…this is getting serious. Our baby girl is 11 months old today? WHAT?! I guess I just joined the club for parents who simultaneously love every month better than the next all the while mourning the unbelievably quick passage of time. Eloise continues to blow us away. She’s crawling like a pro, pulling up on her knees, standing with assistance, smiling and laughing and “talking” all the time. (I love how it’s “dadeeee” when she’s happy and “naaaaana!” when she’s upset. Sigh.) Ellie still loves to read, only now she flips the pages herself, snuggled next to mommy or daddy. Pat-a-cake, holding onto our hands, is still a favorite game and she loves to “play catch.” (We’re trying to teach her only to throw soft toys and balls, but Dorey has definitely taken a few blocks to the face.) Ellie is such a joy that it hurts. Mike and I are already planning an incredibly girly birthday celebration for our little star next month. Never in my life would I have guessed the two of us would be so intent on finding THE perfect sparkly purple butterfly decorations…but here we are. Guys…it just doesn’t get any better than this!
Happy Birthday, darling Skye! What a wonderful first year you had, and last Saturday afternoon, your mommy and daddy threw you the perfect party to celebrate wonderful you. It was filled with butterflies, friends, laughter, singing and dancing (with music courtesy of Miss Aimee Leigh, who I have to say, I think is just the tops!) and lots and lots of love. Thanks for having me be part of the fun, Karina and Jason!
I was so excited to meet baby Sloane last weekend and she certainly didn’t disappoint. I am so happy for you, Erin and Travis. Sloane is beautiful…the perfect addition to your family. Rowan is already a fantastic big brother and it was fun seeing him in action. And it was so special, getting to take some photos of Sloane with her grandparents while they are visiting. Best of luck settling into a new routine as a family of four!
We had a beautiful afternoon, last Sunday, to play around in this great park downtown. Elyse and Adele gave me their best smiles, showed me their funniest faces, raced, hugged and were top models all around. It was so nice meeting you, Kristin and Dan! Enjoy your summer in the city!
It’s Piper and Amelia time! I always love hanging out with this family and last Sunday morning was no exception. We started out taking some fun, urban shots under the L tracks in their neighborhood before heading to Tom Ping Park to enjoy a gorgeous skyline backdrop. Darlene and Jeff, it was great seeing you four!
