I was so excited to meet the newest addition to this sweet family last weekend. Meet Natalie, Brandon’s new baby sister. She took her photo shoot in stride, hanging out with brother, cuddling with grandma and grandpa and snuggling with mommy and daddy. What a darling. Congratulations again, Steve and Amanda! Thanks for letting me share in your joy.
These girls are getting so big! It feels like only yesterday that I explored Garfield Park Conservatory with Linden when she was just about a year and a half old. Last weekend, I had the chance to go back with this family and enjoy the space all over again…this time with Hadley in tow, just about that same sweet age. Crazy. As always, it was great catching up with you, Lynsey and Peter!
Um…I’m not even kidding when I say Kelly and I have been trying to schedule their family photo session since her baby shower for Bo! Between Kelly and Chris’s hectic new life, settling in with a newborn, to my own pregnancy and settling in with a newborn, to a big move for them…it’s been a crazy year and a half for all of us! I was thrilled to finally get to spend time with them last Saturday morning at their beautiful new home. Bo was terrific, a top model. And so was his buddy, Deuce the dog. Love all of the images of the entire crew together. You can just see the love right down to little Deuce. Thanks for having me over, Kelly and Chris! That was a great time.
How is our baby girl already 7 months old? That can’t even be possible. Eloise continues to blow us away every single day. She seems to be growing and changing overnight these days, and all of her new skills have suddenly become our biggest sources of joy in life. Her new trick is to wave hello and goodbye to people (and to Dorey and to herself, in the mirror!) Neither Mike nor I taught her that…she just started doing it one day. But she’ll do it on command and that tickles us pink. Ellie is also sitting up on her own. We totally skipped tripod sitting (she never understood that concept, as her hands are always otherwise occupied, holding toys or grabbing at something) and are now reclining in style like a big girl. Unbelievable. One of my favorite parts of this age (my absolute favorite so far!) has been watching our daughter’s personality shine through. Eloise is developing distinct preferences. She likes pureed bananas and carrots, a sparkly purple butterfly toy and blowing raspberries. She’s not mobile yet, but wants to be. Ellie is mastering the art of inching and scooting around. It’s still disconcerting for me to find her in her crib in the morning, facing the opposite direction from how I put her down at night. Mike and I are in trouble now!
Three months is one of my favorite ages for photos. It’s hard to believe, but there’s actually so much you can do with an immobile 3 month old. They are at their cuddliest, and their expressions are priceless. Case in point: meet my new buddy, William. I couldn’t get enough of him last week! He was such a great sport for us during his first big photo session, modeling different hats and outfits and giving me all of his best looks. Not many three month olds would make it through a full hour of photos, but that wasn’t a big feat for William. I’d even venture to say that he enjoyed himself! It was great to meet you, Brian and Angela. Congratulations again on your new addition and enjoy every minute with him!
ADORABLE! I miss her so much when I am in Ohio. I’m coming soon, Little Girlie! Vovo
