Happy Birthday, Ori!

No arguments here: Judith, John, Ori and Tali are a super family. But last Sunday afternoon, they took it literally as they played around at Pump It Up for Ori’s superhero themed birthday party. Judith always outdoes herself with her paries, but this one took the cake. Seriously…look at that cake! Every detail was perfect, as always, and everyone had an awesome time bouncing, sliding, laughing and wishing Ori a great birthday. Thanks for letting me be a part of it!

James and Aubrey

This family was one of my first clients. James was just a peanut newborn when I first met them. So you can imagine what a thrill it was for me to see them again last Sunday morning and get to meet the newest little peanut, Aubrey. This session was filled with cuddles and laughing and I just loved every minute. It was nice to see you again, John and Elizabeth! Congratulations on beautiful Aubrey…she’s the perfect addition to your awesome family.

Fun at Cantigny

Mike and I had never been out to Cantigny before…but man, were we impressed during our first visit last Saturday morning. Such beautiful grounds, an interesting historic background and (this especially caught this photographer’s eye!) a very reasonable permit fee! This family was the perfect group to explore Cantigny with, too. Grandpa Rick came with some awesome ideas for backdrops and all of the kids did a great job during our time together. Alyssa and Chris bought the session as a gift for their mother and got the whole family together for a good time. How sweet is that? Thanks for bearing with the chilly weather and letting us feel like part of the gang for the morning Diane, Rick, Alyssa, Jay, Jack, Aidan, Will, Ainsley, Chris, Jill, Julia and Elizabeth!

Oh my – this is so wonderful; beyond words Jen!!!! Love every picture so far and you two were absolutely amazing that day. We actually had FUN and it’s not always like that. Can’t wait to see the rest……….

Cousins

I’m not going to lie. Finding an indoor public location to use for a shoot in the city isn’t an easy task. Permits need to be obtained, 99% of the time, at least 14 days in advance of the session and, most times, the fees are significant. And, even once all of that gets squared away, there are crowds to deal with. Last Friday, we lucked out on both accounts. The Field Museum, while not offering a ton of variety, doesn’t charge for a photo permit and it was a light day, crowd-wise, in the lobby. It also helped that I had some extremely accommodating little cousins to work with that day. Jack, Wyatt, Emilia and Max are all just adorable and love spending time together. So do their parents, which I think is just so cool. Thanks for sticking with me, Lisa, John, Elizabeth, Nate, Jenny and Keith!
