Rainbow

rainbowforweb“God puts rainbows in the clouds so that each of us — in the dreariest and most dreaded moments — can see a possibility of hope. ”

-Maya Angelou

This girl. Loves: sweet potatoes, crinkle toys, Eloise. Dislikes: tummy time and the Ergo (but we’re turning the corner with both!). It’s a gray day at the end of a long week, so I wanted to take a minute to celebrate our Mae. Unbelievably, she will turn 7 months old next week. My favorite baby stage, with all of the sweet smiles and giggles, chubbiness and cuddles. And wonder. So much wonder. One smile from Mae can right every wrong. She’s the most powerful person in the family, and doesn’t know it. Keep smiling, sweet girl. We love you so much.

I can’t look at a photo of Mae without smiling! She brightens my days!

Going…Going…

My favorite time of year is upon us, and my fall calendar is nearly booked! I still have two spots remaining for mini sessions, and only a handful of 1-hour spots available before the end of the year. If you just started to think about holiday card photos, email me to secure your session today!

Tin

10-years

Really? Tin? Ten years of marriage…and it’s our TIN anniversary? I feel like way too much life has been lived for us to be represented by tin today.

And, yes, on the morning of our ten year anniversary…that’s what I am coming up with. Tin. I’ve been sifting through a million quotes online, and perusing our wedding photos all week, trying to find the words to capture the right sentiment. To represent my emotions. To symbolize my love, gratitude, and admiration for you, and us, and all that we have experienced and built together in the past ten years.

But the right words are escaping me. Because how can I sum up what feels like several different lifetimes? How can I reflect on so many varied experiences – the breathtaking, heartbreaking, wonderful, hysterical, joyous, lucky, frustrating, devastating, inspiring, and mundane – that have lead us to today?

I love you, Mike. I continue to be the luckiest girl in the world to get to hold your hand through life, and so long as we continue to walk together, I’ll have everything I need. I love our now, and am excited for where the next ten years will take us. (Maybe to Hawaii?)

Happy Anniversary, love.

William

william-blog-1Oh my goodness…this little face! William is just darling, and he did a wonderful job posing for me both at his house and on the nearby 606. It was so much fun taking photos of another 6 month old, and dishing with his parents about the joys and frustrations of life with a newborn. Thanks so much for a great time, Julia and Conor! It was lovely to meet you three.

Ishaan, Arjun, and Anaya

ishaan-arjun-anaya-blog-1

A whole lot of life has been lived for us all in the three years since I last saw this wonderful family. I was so happy to catch up with Shubhra, Prabhu, Ishaan, Arjun, and Anaya at North Pond last Sunday morning. There were hugs and smiles. Because, each in our own way, we’ve weathered a storm, and now the sun is shining once again. Ishaan, Arjun, and Anaya are three of my all-time favorites, and I had the best time hanging out with them. Great job, top models! Thank you for having me capture more of your family moments, Shubhra and Prabhu. I look forward to many more photo sessions in the future.
