I have to admit, I’m not always the most discerning when it comes to ordering prints of my personal photos. Often times, being busy and anxious to display and enjoy my most recent family photos in my home trumps ordering professional-quality prints. To fill a frame or post a snap on my fridge, I sometimes run to Walgreens or Target, or even (gasp!) print from my computer on printer paper. But recently I recognized that while the price difference between my professional prints and those from Walgreens, Snapfish, Target, and Costco is negligible…the quality difference is far from it. I was pretty surprised at the difference between the professional quality (left) and that from Snapfish (right). The Snapfish print is oversaturated and the color is off, where-as the professional print, because my computer is color calibrated to their system, is a much truer representation. Thought I would share for any of you who have ever debated the difference in print sources.

My buddy Paxton is one year old! How did that happen so quickly? I have had the honor of capturing all of his milestones this past year, as I did with big sis Hadley, and I just loved getting to know this little squirt. That was one of the best smash cake sessions ever. He didn’t just attack it with his hands, but with his feet, as well. Epic! “Save some for Hadley!” big sis had shouted. Just when you didn’t think this family could get any more adorable. I hope you had a fantastic time at your party, Pax! Thanks for another great time, Hollye and Mike!
When the opportunity arose to capture some special memories for this crew last weekend, how could I possibly say no? The whole family came together to celebrate a milestone birthday for their Nana and Aunt JJ, and have some Easter fun while they were at it. How adorable are these little cousins? I seriously can’t get enough! They did a fantastic job mugging for my camera, and were rewarded with an egg hunt when we were finished with portraits. They earned it! Thank you so much for a great time Jon, Marcia, Janis, Kirsten, Kevin, Annika, Oscar, Erika, Lucas, Sophie, Nathaniel, Kris, Jennie, and Ellery! It was so much fun to be a part of your lovely family for the morning.
